Church song lyrics can reflect a wonderful intersection of biblical truth, theology, emotion, and poetry. They can be a potent tool in the activity of disciple making. Yet we rarely take the time to unpack each line and consider its great significance for church life, for apprehending doctrine through song and for encouraging and motivating our own walk with Christ. In this video, Bob Kauflin (Director of Sovereign Grace Music) demonstrates just how that intersection works using the song – ‘Before the Throne of God Above’.
