Uncover…
‘Uncover’ is a national Christian Union (UCCF) campaign that aims to give 50,000 students in the UK the opportunity to meet with Jesus in Luke’s gospel. According to Rico Tice in our last E.M blog post – ‘Engaging with the Lost’, this 1-1 ‘share a gospel with a friend or neighbour’ is currently taking the UK student world by storm.
Much like Australia, England has discovered that increasingly, friends and neighbours have no church background and know very little about the person of Jesus from childhood. Therefore, for many, it becomes a big ask for an unbeliever to take the step of coming to a church run course to find out more. Rather than having to come to church, ‘Uncover’ introduces friends to Jesus by taking the gospel directly to them – in the pub, coffee shop, work place, home or wherever. This new tool is a great opportunity to encourage our friends to examine the evidence in the Gospel for themselves.
The Uncover Seeker Bible Studies are a series of six Bible studies in Luke’s Gospel, designed to be read in a one-to-one or small group setting with non-Christians. Written by international evangelist Becky Manley Pippert, this self-contained, ready-to-go, bible study guide does not require expert knowledge to use. Using excerpts from Luke’s Gospel stitched in, the Uncover Seeker Bible Study Guide is ideal for reading with friends in a one-to-one or small group setting. This is the sort of evangelistic tool that runs itself, and can be used by anyone, of any age, in any setting.
The ‘Uncover’ webpage also comes with a series of resources for use by anyone. Like this one aimed to equip users…
